ascii load file ( was Re: none)

Is it possible to get a binary version of this (a .Rdata)?  Unless
you had strange machines at MRC-BSU, it should be in XDR and cross-platform
readable.

Ross did once say that ASCII save/load was only for testing,
so I would regard XDR saves as more reliable.
