I have resolved the problem I had with rgui quiting automatically. I am posting this mainly so that if anyone else in the future has the same problem there will be a solution in the archives. The problem was apparently with the file Rconsole that was in the directory "My Documents", when I deleted that file then everything started working fine again. Could you take a look at that file, if it's still in your recycle bin? It's supposed to be a text file. I'm curious what was wrong with it that caused this behaviour. Duncan Murdoch
