Go to the gooogle desktop preferences page and install Larry's Any Text File Indexer 1.00 by Larry Gadea (Index any file extension specified as plaintext) then tell it to search the .R and other extensions as plaintext. Google will then index all indicated files on your harddisk and will find them very fast.
