distance between plot-region and main-title / saving plot as pdf

Hi,

is there a way to increase the distance beween the plot (or plot- 
region) and the main-title?

I haven't found anything via ?par().

I haven't found anything via ?par().
Well then, you need to look again: you want a bigger margin, so look 
for mar and mai.

Once you have increaed teh margin size, ?title tells you how move the 
title position within that margin.
