Analysis of Variance with Random Effects

Hello!

I am currently trying to perform an ANOVA with random effects in R, but
failed in finding the correct code.

Does a code exist for performing an ANOVA with random effects similar to
"aov" or "anova" for fixed effects?

Thanks for your help and best wishes

Yes, it's called aov(). You need a formula with Error() in. There is an
example in ?aov, believe it or not.

If your data are really not suitable for aov (e.g. unbalanced) you can use
lme in package nlme.
