iterative scaling

I have never used R, but am seriously considering it.

Could anyone tell me if there are implementations out there for the
iterative scaling and/or iterative proportional fitting algorithms
for estimating log-linear models?

I searched for these terms on the CRAN search page, but didn't find
anything.
