For some simple reason, I am unable to see the mistake: ggplot(filter(nlsw88, !(is.na(union))), aes(y = wage, x = union, fill = union)) + geom_boxplot() + facet_wrap(~idblack)
Error Message Cannot use `+.gg()` with a single argument. Did you accidentally put + on a new line?

As the error message says, move the '+' sign from the start of the second line to the end of the preceding line.
