Since I have not yet seen a reply here goes. It is very honest of you to tell us it is your 'trabajo de grado' but should you not ask your tutor for help? Have you tried ?smooth.spline which tells you what the function does (admittedly fairly tersely)?

Otra pregunta que tengo consiste en saber cual es la relacion que
