I just installed the 0.64 rpm for Linux and noticed that the links to function.html and packages.html on .../doc/html/index.html don't go anywhere. In fact, those pages don't seem to exist. Do I have to do something to generate them? Also, will the rpm's for the contrib packages be updated to 0.64 level, or just R-base?
You didn't say what distribution/platform you are using. If you are using Red Hat Linux/Intel or Red Hat Linux/Sparc or Linuxppc then it is my problem. These files are generated by the post-install script. You should see something like this when you install: [root at hobbes i386]# rpm -Uvh R-base-0.64.0-1.i386.rpm R-base ################################################## updating LibIndex for library /usr/lib/R/library ... updating HTML index ... If the script did not execute for any reason then I would like to know why. Let me know what the error message was. Also, you should check that you are using a fairly up-to-date version of rpm. I am using version 2.5.2. The rpms for the contrib packages will be updated when I get a spare moment (which may not be soon).
