Hi- Somebody asked me if there was such a thing as a package for wavelets in R. Is there? It seems there's a toolbox for wavelets for S-PLUS, so our guess was that there might be something for R.
There's an FAQ for R, which will show that package wavethresh does a little of this.
If not, what about the possibilty of re-utilizing code from S-PLUS and use it for wavelets in R?
No. It's copyright code, and also mainly compiled. In general (there may be exceptions), using S-PLUS code for R will be in breach of the license conditions, and looks to me like theft.
