A question about build R-2.10.0 on HP-UX ia64 server.

Hi R usrs,



I want to build R-2.10.0 on HP-UX, but I got following error message:

   export CFLAGS="-AC99 +DD64"
   export CXX="aCC"
   export CXXFLAGS="-b +DD64"
   export F77="f90"
   export FFLAGS="+DD64"
   export LDFLAGS="-L/opt/fortran90/lib -L/usr/lib/hpux64"



   ./configure --prefix=$/usr/homes/myrhome --enable-R-shlib --with-x --with-readline=no

I tried build R-2.10.1 and found this issue can be reproduce.

Please ask about installing on unusual platforms on the R-devel list,
with reasonably complete output (we have not got the command that
failed, do not know which compilers there are ...). You might want to
talk directly to the Matrix authors, since this is a failure to
install Matrix right at the end of the R installation process.

Also, no one is going to be interested in helping you with an obsolete
version of R: please try R 2.10.1 or R-patched when you report on
R-devel.

It is several years since we have had any report about R on HP-UX, and
the notes on that platform last appeared in the R-admin manual for R
2.9.2.
