Dear list, I apologize for not using the ESS-list, but for reasons I am not aware of, it is not possible for me to reach any address at eth-Zurich by e-mail (I tried ESS-list, M. Maechler and F. Hampel). However, I would like to know at least: a) *If* ESS would be installed correctly, *could* I start R-processes by M-x R? How else? b) What is meant exactly by "I start ESS manually each time I start emacs" from Y. Gauvreau?
