[R-pkg-devel] References in DESCRIPTION file
Hi Jeff, Thank you for your response. My apologies for the lack of information or unintentional HTML formatting, I will take note for next time. This response (and the link you provided) did, however, remind me to take another look at the question and I now understand that I mis-interpreted what was being asked of me, and instead of references, I was being asked to present in-text citations. This has been resolved and I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my question. Note that this list may or may not include the reviewer who last checked your submission. Perhaps re-read [1] and if you are still puzzled then consider pointing us to (or pasting into the body of the email) the DESCRIPTION file you are having difficulty with so we don't have to engage psychic powers. Oh, and DON'T post HTML-formatted email on the R mailing lists. [1] https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/submission_checklist.html

Hi folks, Upon manual inspection of my package by CRAN maintainers I have been asked to put my references in the description field of the DESCRIPTION file. I have formatted all of my references as requested and put them there but get a note when checking the package (Malformed Description field: should contain one or more complete sentences.). Does anyone have advice on how to place these here so I can clear this final hurdle to get the package back up on CRAN? Thanks, Alan Cantin [[alternative HTML version deleted]]
