Subject: PostgreSQL+PostGIS+PLR Class Announcement
R Database List,
Credativ and Forest Informatics are holding a short course on
PostgreSQL, PostGIS, and PL/R as part of their newly announced
partnership, GeoSpatial University. PL/R is an extension to PostgreSQL,
which allows PostgreSQL stored procedures to be written in R.
This first course, "Intro to PostgreSQL with Spatial Analysis
Extensions" will be offered from September 13-15, 2010 in San Diego, CA.
Students will learn the fundamentals of PostgreSQL, geospatial database
management using PostGIS, and basic analysis of geospatial database
objects using PL/R.
