R in Linux Mint

I think of installing Linux Mint on my PC (I now use Ubuntu 10.10).  
Can I use one of the Ubuntu PPA repositories for installing R in Mint,  
or should I build everything from source? Perhaps it would be  
interesting to have a dedicated Mint repos, as their OS has become  
very popular, with the number of users comparable to Ubuntu.
