I installed libglade2-0.

Unfortunately, R still reports the same error.

Does anyone here happen to know how to install
libglade on Debian Linux?

Open Synaptic, search for libglade and install libglade2-0. But I'm
surprised that the .debs do not take care automatically of such a dep.
