The problem is that there is no such package in bullseye-backports.
Am I missing something? The website does seem to mention libcharls-dev 2.2.1+dfsg-1~bpo11+1 being present in bullseye-backports: https://packages.debian.org/bullseye-backports/libcharls-dev
I'm sorry! I have searched in : https://backports.debian.org/Packages/ And by default it searches in buster-backport. I do: $ sudo aptitude -t bullseye-backports install libcharls-dev $ sudo aptitude install libgdal-dev gdal-bin libproj-dev proj-data proj-bin libgeos-dev I after:
install.packages ("chronosphere")
I now everything correct. Thank you very much for this help tant useful. Best regards
