Valentin, Please check your file /etc/apt/sources.list. It seems you did not succeed to add a line for the CRAN repository there. As written in the README, there needs to be a line like deb http://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/debian lenny/ This is for the master mirror, in order to distribute the load, it would be preferable if you could exchange http://cran.r-project.org with one of the mirror sites. Hi again, I need to correct myself: the line should read deb http://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/debian lenny-cran/ It is these little things that matter in the end. It seems that the description is really still to complicated in the README? Kind regards, Johannes
