readOGR and Multiple incompatible geometries in rgdal

Dear all,

Roger Bivand has developped a beta-version of readOGR in rgdal adding an 
argument 'require_geomType' taking multiple geometries into account.  
This should solve the question, thanks to him. Source currently 
available on R-Forge: svn checkout 
svn://scm.r-forge.r-project.org/svnroot/rgdal/trunk, and windows binary  
on http://win-builder.r-project.org/qYN2Fj33OV56

Will soon be on CRAN.
