Online Course: Species Distribution Modeling with BART – 1–3 July

We are excited to announce the upcoming Physalia online course on Species Distribution Modeling (SDM) using Bayesian Additive Regression Trees (BART), taking place 1?3 July.

This course introduces and demonstrates BART methods for SDM and other ecological applications. Participants will work through the full workflow in R, from selecting environmental predictors to training, evaluating, and projecting species occurrence models. Practical exercises will use the embarcadero and dbarts packages, providing hands-on experience with modern machine-learning approaches for ecological modeling.
