Units and mvabund

Dear list: My graduate student and I have noticed that our mvabund results are sensitive to the units of our data (i.e. grams or milligrams ? in other words, a thousandfold difference). Is this because of inflation of differences between zeros and non-zeros? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Yours, Jon.
