Subject: Introduction to Spatial Data and R as a GIS – online seminar

Hello R-SIG-ECOLOGY members

Introduction to Spatial Data and R as a GIS led by Nick Bearman (University College London and Geospatial Training Solutions) is now available as an on-demand streaming seminar. This seminar introduces researchers to leveraging R as a powerful GIS tool for comprehensive spatial data analysis. Ecologists can apply these techniques to analyze spatial patterns in vegetation, soil composition, or hydrological networks, enhancing their understanding of environmental processes. Integrating these spatial analysis capabilities directly into R workflows allows for efficient processing of ecological datasets and the creation of compelling visualizations, streamlining research and communication of findings.

Access this seminar (https://instats.org/seminar/introduction-to-spatial-data-and-r-as-a-3) at your own pace and please share this with colleagues and students who might benefit!

Best wishes
