Oct 6th and led by Dr. Rosina Savisaar. Designed for both newcomers to regression and seasoned frequentist analysts eager for a fresh perspective, this workshop provides a gentle yet comprehensive gateway into Bayesian reasoning. You will learn how priors, likelihoods, and posteriors work together to deliver intuitive answers to research questions, bypassing the limitations of p-values and enabling the estimation of complex models that classical methods often cannot handle. Through hands-on coding in R with the brms package and weekly real-data assignments, participants will master matching variable types to probability distributions, building and interpreting Bayesian regression models, checking model adequacy, visualising results, and predicting future observations.
