Hello R-SIG-ECOLOGY members

Last chance - We are pleased to announce an upcoming seminar that will explore advanced analytical methods. Causal Inference with AI and Machine Learning is a 2-day seminar livestreaming March 12?13 with Jason Anastasopoulos (School of Public and International Affairs, University of Georgia). This seminar equips researchers with robust methods to move beyond correlation, enabling them to precisely identify cause-and-effect relationships within complex ecological datasets. Participants will learn to implement advanced machine learning and AI techniques in R, enhancing their ability to design credible studies and interpret heterogeneous treatment effects in environmental systems. These skills, including LLM-assisted diagnostics, can be applied to stress-test assumptions in ecological models and generate clear explanations for observed environmental changes.

Sign up today (https://instats.org/seminar/causal-inference-with-ai-and-machine-lea) to secure your spot, and please share this opportunity with colleagues and students who might benefit!

Best wishes
