Dear all, there are still 4 seats for our upcoming online course, "Species Distribution and Ecological Niche Modelling in R" scheduled for 9-13 September . Course website: [ https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/course45/ ]( https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/course45/ ) This course will cover the theory and practice of correlative species distribution models (SDM) and ecological niche models (ENM). You will learn the underlying concepts, methods, and applications, as well as the challenges and strengths of these models. Participants will have the opportunity to build and validate models using their own species occurrence data and apply these models to various purposes. By the end of the course, you will be able to: Understand the basic theory and concepts behind SDM and ENM. Design, build, and evaluate SDM and ENM using automated R scripts. Recognize the strengths and limitations of SDM and ENM for different purposes. Use SDM and ENM to describe, predict, and project species distributions in space and time.
