Dear all,
We are excited to announce the upcoming Physalia online course:
?GLLVMs: Advanced Multivariate Analysis of Ecological Communities in R?

 Dates: 7?10 July

Course website: [ https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/gllvm/ ]( https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/gllvm/ )

Multivariate analysis of ecological communities has traditionally relied on distance-based methods such as CCA, NMDS, or PCoA. Over the last decade, Generalized Linear Latent Variable Models (GLLVMs) have emerged as a flexible and unified framework for model-based ordination and for jointly analysing species occurrence patterns, similar to Joint Species Distribution Models (JSDMs).

This course combines conceptual lectures and hands-on labs in R, covering:

Multispecies GL(M)Ms and model-based ordination

Joint Species Distribution Models

Diagnostics, model selection, and visualization of results

Applying models to your own ecological datasets

Participants will leave the course with practical experience applying GLLVMs to complex ecological data and the ability to interpret, visualise, and communicate results effectively.

Best regards, Carlo
