Fixed updates for EL5 / EL6

I tried to install?R-core-3.3.0-8.el6.x86_64.rpm on a?el6.x86_64 box. ?I do not have su rights to this box. ?I get the following message.
~> rpm -ivh R-core-3.3.0-8.el6.x86_64.rpmerror: Failed dependencies:? ? ? ? tex(dvips) is needed by R-core-3.3.0-8.el6.x86_64? ? ? ? tex(latex) is needed by R-core-3.3.0-8.el6.x86_64
Can I still use this?
