R hangs when plot() is used

We found an older version of x11 and this worked for us: yum downgrade xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.15.0-36.el6.x86_64 xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.15.0-26.el6_6.x86_64.rpm
After some prompting from Peter, I have ported the patch over to the R release branch so the fix will be in R 3.2.4, due for release on 10 March, and in R 3.3.0 a little over a month later. You can then upgrade again. Martyn
