installing R on Fedora 24 without Fedora texlive

Hello,

I have installed texlive 2016 complete from the Tex website on my Fedora 24
system.

When I proceeded to install R, I was forced to install all the Fedora
texlive dependencies. Is there any way to make R use the texlive 2016
package already existing on my computer.
