IBrokers TWS quits daily
Hi Noah, The TWS will automatically log you out. That is the way it works. If you want a continuous session, try the IB Gateway. Basically a low resource GUI-less application. This will stay up for as long as you need. HTH Jeff Jeffrey Ryan | Founder | jeffrey.ryan at lemnica.com www.lemnica.com

Hi, Not directly related to R, but I'm hoping someone here has solved this. My TWS client quits every day at the same time. I can even see an option to pick what time of the day for it to quit. However, I would like to keep my system running continuously. When the TWS quits, my R instance Hangs, and I need to quit R, restart TWS, restart R, re-execute my script, then re-accept the connection in TWS. Not only is this a pain, but If the system were live, I couldn't ever miss a restart time. Automating this with a series of scripts might be possible, but the "accept API connection" step in TWS must be physically clicked.
