getSymbols() and broken Internet connection

This isn't really a finance related question, so it's doubtful this is the correct location for such a question. That said, consider using try or tryCatch to handle any exceptions that may arise. ????? Brian Lee Yung Rowe Founder, Zato Novo Professor

I am using getSymbols() inside a loop to download all US stocks traded in AMEX, NASDAQ and NYSE (~6000 in all). I am trying to automate the process, but the execution stops each time there is a break in Internet connectivity. Considering that nothing can be done about such connectivity issues, is there a way around this problem? Thanks, Manojit [[alternative HTML version deleted]]
