That is called "reprojecting raster maps" or simply "resampling" [http://spatial-analyst.net/wiki/index.php?title=Export_maps_to_GE#Reprojecting_and_resampling_maps]. I normally use the "gdalwarp" for this [http://spatial-analyst.net/wiki/index.php?title=Software#FWTools] because you can put all these operations in one command, but you could also try RSAGA. T.
