Prediction in BIOMOD
Hi, Wilfried: Thanks very much for the rapid reply, it helps me a lot! I have been thinking that the function Projection is for predicting of future distribution or for another region. Marco

Dear Marco, You did understand correctly. For having the predictions made on all background points, use the Projection function after the Models function. Best Wilfried Le 9 f?vr. 2011 ? 15:02, Marco a ?crit :
Dear list: I am using package BIOMOD and have a question concerning model prediction. It seems that in BIOMOD, the default prediction of species distribution is carried only on the presence and pseudo-absence points, not on the whole background points. Which means, for example, if I have 100 presence records, and another 1000 points were selected from the background point pool (eg. 5000 random points). The final prediction was only the 1100 points, not 5100, when I load the ?pred_speciesname? file in the ?pred? subfolder of model result. My question is: is there any direct way of getting the prediction of the whole background points from the main *Models* function, or did I have a totally wrong understanding of prediction? Please forgive me if the question is too silly.
