problems with finding CRAN mirror for gstat [was GDALinfo with unrecognized format...]

Please don't post off topic - this is not related to the original thread. Here's one: http://cran.ms.unimelb.edu.au/web/packages/gstat/index.html What have you tried? Please tell us what you did when you tried to find gstat - does this not work? What is the error? install.packages("gstat") Please include your R version and OS, use sessionInfo() for example.
