Subject: rectangular adjacency matrix/list: geo or graph packages?

Hi all,

I'm searching for an efficient, preferably prepackaged, way to compute and store a rectangular adjacency matrix in R. All I'm using it for is to screen out a large number of unnecessary computations. I have no need for weighted edges, and the matrix would be pretty sparse. I found this thread from 2007:

Has anyone tackled this problem using the 'igraph' package? Or have recommendations for another library to use or keep an eye on?

Many thanks,
David
