Leader lines for inset map

Hi Vladimir,
I'm sure, R is very versatile software, but it sounds really insane to me
to try to do sth like your examples in R (If you haven't got to do this
hundreds of times with different maps)
Map compositions are a matter of graphics programs or even better a
Desktop GIS, like QGIS for example.

In QGIS, this would be a matter of just adding two composer frames,
legend(s) and some lines drawn by hand.
"Coding" a layout seems not really reasonable when you can also drag and
drop the items in a matter of minutes.

Just my 2 cents
Bernd
