Mike, This would be really helpful to me as well!
It is the gaping hole in all this work we are doing. Please specify a source and some actual examples of files you want for me to try. Within limits, we can configure a new source into our synchronization tools and they essentially mirror a file set from some source, using wget, curl, or some custom wrapper (NASA ocean colour is an example). It's not really ready for public consumption but it's working well for us and it's easy enough to set up. Cheers, Mike.
Thank you, Tom On Thu, Aug 20, 2015 at 4:39 PM, Michael Sumner <mdsumner at gmail.com> wrote:

Hello I am looking for a package on R that can download data from Global Precipitation Measurement automatically
We have some tools to do this, can you point to explicit sources and example files? I could try out adding this to our collection and report back. Cheers, Mike . An example is what runGdal()
or runMrt() from package MODIS do. There is is a package for TRMM data download: hddtools function TRMM() There is any package that can download data from GPM? Thank you.
