Maybe it is a problem with your SAGA version. I could reproduce your example without any problem. I`m using SAGA 2.0.4, R 2.11.0 and RSAGA 0.9-6 on Windows XP.
Or it is a problem of your GRIDS argument. How is it organized?

> filelist <- list.files(getwd(), pattern=".sgrd")
> filelist
[1] "g1.sgrd" "g2.sgrd" "g3.sgrd"
