State database

Dear list
Could please any one help in this point:
I used " state" database to convert boundaries of states into polygons using map function
map("state")
The only problem is I can't find Hawaii and Alaska because "state" use the mainland USA 
Any suggestions how to combine Alaska and Hawaii states into 
map("state")
