replying to messages at R-sig-Geo

Roger, thank you for your reply to my post--that is very much along the
lines of what I am looking for.

I cannot seem to figure out how to reply to messages properly in thresds,
so I am copying and pasting into my email program, but surely there is a
simpler way? Thanks.

In principle, replying to a message in a thread should preserve the 
message headers, which contain a thread ID tag. This may vary across mail 
clients, but should be pretty robust. The "Subject:" tag does not preserve 
thread ID. Can you not simply choose to reply? Inspecting the list 
archives shows that others are not replying "in thread" - is something 
perhaps being filtered out by some mail clients or service providers?

I suggest continuing this off-list.
