kde bandwidth in kilometres in package GISTools

Dear All,

I want to use the function kde.points where I want the bandwidth to be in
kilometres. How can I do this ? What is the present unit of bandwidth ?

A reproducible example from the package manual is :

data(newhaven)
breach.dens = kde.points(breach,lim = tracts)
