You could take a look at Grappa: http://www.stats.bris.ac.uk/~peter/Grappa/ - available as a package for Windows and Linux, but with a few health warnings - it doesn't protect you from misspecifying a model, it only deals with the discrete case, and it does not fully comply with CRAN standards (of documentation, etc.) Peter Green
