R and 64 bit Computing
2 messages · Meyers, Glenn G., Vincent Goulet
Hi Glen, It already does... on Linux and Mac OS. The problem on Windows is the lack of a reliable free 64 bit compiler; see http://cran.r-project.org/doc/manuals/R-admin.html#Choosing-between-32_002d-and-64_002dbit-builds As alluded to in the R for Windows FAQ, Revolution Computing also provide a 64-bit version of R: http://www.revolution-computing.com/ Hope this helps, Vincent Le lun. 2 nov. ? 10:41, Meyers, Glenn G. a ?crit :
Does anybody know if R can (or future versions will) take advantage of a 64-bit computing environment? Glenn Meyers ISO 201-469-2333 This email is intended for the recipient only.
