Edit:
I think I am a little step further now. If I try to rattle() I am asked whether I want to install GTK+ or not. If I do so I get the following:
Checksumming Driver Descriptor Map (DDM : 0)?
Driver Descriptor Map (DDM : 0): verified CRC32 $CAB89C05
Checksumming Apple (Apple_partition_map : 1)?
Apple (Apple_partition_map : 1): verified CRC32 $E9C8F2EB
Checksumming disk image (Apple_HFS : 2)?

Checksumming (Apple_Free : 3)?

/dev/disk1 Apple_partition_scheme
/dev/disk1s1 Apple_partition_map
/dev/disk1s2 Apple_HFS /Volumes/GTK+2.14
!!!!!!! The file /Volumes/GTK+ 2.14.3 run-time/gtk2-runtime.pkg does not exist.
hdiutil: detach failed - No such file or directory
Learn more about GTK+ at http://www.gtk.org
If the package still does not load, please ensure that GTK+ is installed and that it is on your PATH environment variable
IN ANY CASE, RESTART R BEFORE TRYING TO LOAD THE PACKAGE AGAIN
I guess the marked line is where the problem is. I had issues with pathnames before when interacting with RPostgreSQL, so this could possibly be the case here too. Can I change the pathname somehow ?
Best regards
