I recommend you take a look at Deducer (Full disclosure: My project) or R commander. Here are some links:

Note that on the mac Deducer must be used with the JGR console, and R commander needs the tcl/tk for X Windows ( http://socserv.mcmaster.ca/jfox/Misc/Rcmdr/installation-notes.html).
