The error is because you need to do "echo $PATH" or the like. As to why rgl is failing, not certain of this, but looking at my path, I do not refer to the X11 directory directly (oy that is bad sentence structure) instead have /usr/X11R6/bin as in: mendels% echo $PATH /Applications/Absoft10/bin:/sw/bin:/sw/sbin:/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/ sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/texbin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/local/ferret/bin Give that a try. -Roy
