Preferences panel information on adding a user-specific library path

In the preferences panel for R.app, under Startup, there is a check
box labelled
 Add $HOME/R/Library

I think this label is incorrect.  It appears that the directory that
is added to the default library search path when this is checked is

 $HOME/Library/R/library
