eigen() with complex matrices

Hi Robin, I have 2.5 (pretty recent) installed my my mac-mini and I don't get the error. I do not run R-2.4.1 so I cannot see if I can reproduce your error. I build R from source rather than using the universal binary though, so try that and see if that helps. Can anyone with R-2.4.1 reproduce this error?
Yes, I can reproduce it with R 2.4.1 on G5 when using vecLib BLAS. It doesn't crash when using R's BLAS, so that is a work-around. Given that the crash occurs in vecLib and works with with R's BLAS, I'm inclined to think that it's a bug in vecLib, but it will require some more digging to see if that's really the case... *Please* when reporting problems include exact information on the hardware used - there are simply too many different Mac platforms now... Thanks, Simon
