libncurses.dylib.5 missing
David What does "ls /sw/lib/libncurses*" say ? A quick solution is to make a softlink in /sw/lib to the version of libncurses in /usr/lib. So sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libncurses.5.dylib /sw/lib/libncurses.5.dylib Or install ncurses from fink. Best -- Jan

Dear Jan, I am trying to install your port of R for Mac OS X. I unpacked Package Date Posted R-1.6.1.tar.gz 11-15-02 rbin.dylibs.tar.gz 12-05-02 x11.dylibs.tar.gz 12-05-02 gnome.dylibs.tar.gz 12-05-02 But when I run R I get dyld: /usr/local/lib/R/bin/R.bin can't open library: /sw/lib/libncurses.dylib.5 (No such file or directory, errno = 2) Trace/BPT trap It seems this file is missing from rbin.dylibs.tar.gz . Any idea? Thanks much! D. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ David Posada Variagenics, Inc.
