By mistake I typed:

.3*4 /

to which R responded with +
but when I hit Esc, it then needs to be forced to quit.
(I've tried this several times).

(This does not happen on a PC -- it recovers just fine).

Please update to the latest GUI version from CRAN, this has been fixed  
a while ago (and posted here many times..).

Just out of curiosity - when and how did you install your R? The buggy  
version has been on CRAN only for 5 days, so one would think that  
chances of having it would be very low by now...

Sorry. Obviously I need to update more than once a week, and I must  
have missed the discussion
about the bug with all the recent talk about data editors and gui's.

Apologies. I'll try to be more proactive with my downloads.
